Q&A: Tell me, how would giving homosexuals rights to marry and such negatively affect YOUR daily life?

Question by Kate ~Who’s Bad?~: Tell me, how would giving homosexuals rights to marry and such negatively affect YOUR daily life?
I don’t understand why people are so offended/disgusted by the idea of gay people marrying, adopting/having children, etc. You don’t have to pay attention to them. You don’t have to look at them, speak to them, anything. All you have to do is mind your own business and focus on your own lives. In the end, we are ALL human and thus deserve equal rights. So why all the uproar?
Lord of the dung heap: BOY are you something special…and I DON’T mean that as a compliment -_-
Whole Armor of God: Well, that’s quite the circular logic right there. A gay person does NOT have the right to marry since he or she does not have the right to marry their partner!

elaine 30705: It’s really sad that you feel allowing gay marriage will lead to the approval of bestiality. That says a lot for your lack of respect for equal rights.
Eternal: None of it surprises me, I’m just trying (key emphasis on the word *trying*) to understand the anti-gay supporters’ point of view, and after reading some responses, I can say I probably will never understand. And I know openness doesn’t depend on religion; I was raised in the Catholic religion (no longer a follower though) and I am a firm believer in equality for all. I just know that the bulk of opposition comes from religious groups in this specific issue.

  1. we want God’s blessings, not His curses like Sodom received

Pro 14:34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin [is] a reproach to any people.

  2. I wouldn’t effect me at all.

As far as I’m concerned the, the First and Fourteenth Amendments say they already have the right.

  3. Yes

Blessings for our country affects all citizens.

Under the pretense of tolerance we are being poisoned with gay and lesbian perversion.

Webster’s definition of tolerance: 1 a) a tolerating or being tolerant, especially of views, beliefs, practices, etc. of others that differ from ones own b) freedom from bigotry or prejudice

Most people are tolerant of gays and lesbians. Tolerant of their opinions, convictions, behavior, and appearance

Woe unto them that cause one to stumble and that is exactly what these low-lifes are doing. They want to promote their disgusting views, beliefs, and practices. Openly and aggressively normalizing their repulsive lifestyles. Seeking governmental recognition of their ungodly unions. Redefining the word family. Writing illustrated children’s books, “Heather Has Two Mommies,” which discusses artificial insemination, and “Daddy’s Roommate,” which included an illustration of two men in bed together. They are not to be considered our neighbors. These lethal asps would then inject their venom into you by saying “you are homophobic.”

Webster’s definition of homophobia: irrational hatred or fear of homosexuals or homosexuality

Most people are very sensible with their repugnance and anxiety caused by these vipers demoralizing our society.

    Tolerance Yes, Acceptable No !!!

  4. Actually it wouldn’t matter even if it did. When blacks achieved their full civil rights I’m sure it affected the lives of some whites.

But just because a white person had to sit at the back of the bus didn’t mean blacks shouldn’t have their constitutional rights.

And when gays finally achieve their full constitutional rights it won’t matter that some christians have to get caps on their teeth because they ground them so hard in anger.

Yes yes dung heap you’ve cut and pasted that enough that we all know you’ll be getting those caps. I know it must be hard to imagine that you may have to follow the constitution of the country.

“The states have a right to determine who can and who can not marry.”
“God ordained marriage between a man and a woman”

Whole Armor & elaine 30705. This may shock you but the states don’t get to violate the constitution of the country. And denying same sex marriage violates the 14th amendment. Denying it for religious reason also violates the 1st amendment.

    Sorry about your teeth.

  5. People like to complain about almost anything these days.
I don’t give a sh!t who marries who – as long as I don’t have to pay for it!

  6. Read up Sodom, believers got it in their minds that God will smite them if they legalized gay marriage.

I don’t believe a word of the Bible, I’m sure we’ll see how destrcutive and intrusive believers can be.

  7. I’m not thinking about how it’ll effect me, in fact I don’t think it will me very much especially for most of my life if not all. I’m thinking about the future.

  8. It would have no impact whatsoever.

In other words, it would have exactly the same impact as all the bigoted, right-wing, self-righteous idiots that call themselves Christians.

Christians didn’t invent (or own marriage). All the pagans and heathens did it before them.

  9. It wouldn’t negatively affect my life one bit. I don’t see what the big deal about this is. If the children are loved, provided for, afforded access to education and not abused I don’t see what the big uproar is.

Oh, I have to add that I don’t believe that there is some sort of divine curse being held over our heads. The stories of divine wrath and punishment are simply the attempt of an ancient culture to explain natural disasters.

  10. They already have the right to marry just as every one else does.

They just can not marry some one of the same sex as every one else can not do it either.

The states have a right to determine who can and who can not marry.

  11. Because its fun to watch people in California have some balls. Its just too amusing to watch them whine. wait, no, its annoying, shut up California! let whom ever wants to marry marry so you can find the next crusade to plaster over the media.

  12. It wouldn’t affect my life. I feel that anyone of legal age should be able to marry who they choose, whether it be homosexual, or related in some way.

  13. It wouldn’t bother me or anyone else. However, Christians and Muslims find it icky and are scared of their own latent tendencies. They hide from them by attempting to deny their existence. The reality of same-sex marriage threatens their fragile egos and miniscule sense of self-worth.

Let’s analyze the bleatiings of one such moron…

“God ordained marriage between a man and a woman”

Really? Where? Not one Xian has ever posted a reference to this alleged divine ordnance.

“God said to marry and multiply”

Wrong, again! He said “go forth and multiply.” Not a word about marriage.

“I know of no same sex people reproducing children”

First, no one reproduces children. Your ilk is against cloning, too, remember? What about infertile couples? We can only hope that you are among that category and remain childless.

“God also said honor your Father and your Mother”

    Yeah? So? Another non-sequitor…

“if they make it law so same sex can marry,,it won’t be
10 years before someone will want ot marry their dog or cat.”

Why is it so difficult for your type of moron to comprehend that contracts are between consenting adults? Not animals, not children. We all realize that you would really like to make your bestial relationships legal, but that will never happen.
